Nafta College Concludes DECOM 2022 Discussion Forum

The annual DECOM-2022 Petroleum Discussion Forum was held in St. Petersburg on October 5-7, 2022, with over 150 delegates joining in-person from various cities in the Russian Federation. Over 800 participants attended the event online.

The DECOM Forum is being held for the sixth time, and the need for this specialized professional business platform is always expanding in the field development community, with new participants, partners, and people who share a common interest.

Each year, the success of the DECOM is ensured by its unique discussion format, which transforms this business event into an exciting journey that brings together top professionals and talented specialists in reservoir engineering under one roof.

This year, the 3-day event was hosted at Azimut Hotel, bringing together delegations and individual representatives and experts from leading Russian oil and gas producing and oilfield service companies, scientific and academic institutes, and specialized higher educational institutions from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara, Ufa, Almetyevsk, Perm and Orenburg.

Typically, the key topics of DECOM presentations and discussions focus on management, monitoring and planning field development. As always, attendees could access interviews with leading industry experts from Russia and other countries, industry-specific presentations, after presentation discussions, panel discussions, live demos and e-posters.

Per tradition, throughout DECOM there was PetroCup Tournament comprising 11 teams from various operating companies, academic institutes and petroleum universities.

Nafta College, which organized the event, received numerous positive responses from Forum participants, as well as additional suggestions for the project's development and offers of collaboration.

Next year, DECOM-2023 Discussion Forum will be held on August 23-25, 2022 in Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
